The Meade LX70 Mount I recently purchased came with a dovetail mounting plate but nothing to attach to a telescope. So, I did some research. It appears the bolt is a 1/4” bolt that is the same used on cameras. This made sense since I was able to mount the Lunt telescope to a standard camera tripod. I looked for some on Amazon and found two types.
One was a male-to-male which I thought would work for my Canon T3i. I was thinking I could put it on the LX70 Mount and try some astrophotography shots.
The second bolt I selected seemed like it might work for the dovetail and thought the retractable handle would make it easier to unscrew by hand.
