I had posted before about researching a solar telescope. I decided to purchase the Lunt LS50THA 50mm Pressure Tuned H-Alpha telescope. I ordered it but it took around 2 months to arrive. I purchased the larger B600 blocking system.
The packing box was well padded and there wasn’t anything to assemble. I put the telescope on a table-top camera tripod through not sure it would be steady but at least something to be able to look at it. The “manual” was a single sheet of paper. I removed and re-attached the blocking filter just to see how that worked. I also unscrewed the pressure tuning system.
I had purchased a Tele Vue Sol-Searcher and installed it.
I plan on purchasing a camera tripod to start using it before getting an equatorial mount. So, next step is to try it out on the next sunny day.
